ALL IN 2021
There is a definitive reason why God chose water baptism to signify his commitment to us. Total submersion makes the statement that every part of your being is now committed to the process! Before baptism the covenant sign was circumcision, definitely a sign of total commitment! The Bible is not written to or for uncommitted Christians.
Yet, on any given Sunday statisticians tell us that only 1/3 of the members attend regularly. We also know that 20% of the people do 80% of the work or serve in the body of Christ. Finally, we also have proof that less than 4% of all people who claim to be believers financially support the ecclesia with 10% or more.
The greatest, God made entity that exists on earth (The Church), empowered by God himself to lead, is not 100% committed. For us to blame the republicans or democrats for this leadership debacle is hypocritical. At best these man-made political entities can lead only with their brain. You and I have the ability to lead by the spirit of God, the heart.
So what’s the solution?
It's time to rebuild The Church this year and build it on the foundation of committed men and women who will provide the template for the future instead of the current position of the Church.
Remember, we cannot win a contest or win a war with participants that are only ½ committed. You cannot be successful with uncommitted Christians. We aren’t talking about a sport, we are speaking of eternity. We cannot afford to keep running the church as we have. It's time to draw the line!
Say to the nations far and wide: “Get ready for war! Call out your best warriors. Let all your fighting men advance for the attack. 10 Hammer your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Train even your weaklings to be warriors. 11 Come quickly, all you nations everywhere. Gather together in the valley.” And now, O LORD, call out your warriors! (Joel 3:9-11)
I leave you with this thought, if not you then who? If not here then where? If not now, then when?
The best time to plant a tree was actually ten years ago. The second-best time is today. Let’s get started right now. Be generous with your time and talent in your church. Tithe and offer to your church. Look for other ways to be generous.
